The Mbuni earrings features Ostrich egg cabachons that I created from the shell of an Ostrich egg.
These shells are incredibly hard and were  used by the Bushmen tribe to carry water when going in extended hunting excursions in the harsh Kalahari desert in Africa.
In the design, I have paired the shells with textured hollow forms, which mimic the texture of the shell itself.
Earrings are sterling and fine silver and measure 2.5 inches long from the bottom of the earwire.
Total length is about 3 inches.
