This one of a kind shell sculpture was inspired by the incredible story about an ancient tribe that inhabited the southern shores of Africa almost 100 000 years ago.
A sea cave was found about a year ago containing human remains as well as shells and other “artifacts”
When archaeologists investigated the findings, abalone shells were found… some had the remains of seal fat and ochre stored in the shells.
It is thought that the remains belonged to ancestors of man who were discovered to be the first of their kind to be strong swimmers and divers.
The Diver Pendant,  holds a hand sculpted silver abalone shell, 2 by 1 inches on a chain which is 18 inches long.
The shell and chain are available in either a bright finish or dark patina as shown in the first photo.
