A hand forged oyster shell started the story of this piece.
A beautiful memory from my childhood - when my dad and I would dive for oysters… well my Dad would dive and as I was barely seven, I would be tasked with hanging onto the inflatable tube that held the net.
Once my dad had prayed the oysters from their beds, I would then dive down to retrieve as many as I could, and drop them into the net.
If there were any with broken shells, my dad would pry them open, pull out my snorkel and plop fresh briny oyster straight into my mouth.
This pendant features a hand forged and carved silver oyster shell, an Indian Ocean blue turquoise heart and a forged freedom bird… it holds beautiful memories and so much love.  
Chain is sterling and is 24 “ long, heart, shell and bird can be worn together or individually.
