About me pic.JPG

“I have my father’s hands and my mother’s spirit and carry within me, the soul of Africa.”

My name is Eldore’ and I am the creative mind and hands behind the jewelry you see here. It is my hope that my jewelry conveys the emotional journeys that flow from my soul.

I was blessed by being born and raised along the shores of Southern Africa. Living in Africa has really shaped me as an artist.  A life lived in such close proximity to nature, both wild and beautiful was a blessing.  From her deserted beaches to her high plains, home to some of the most iconic creatures, the elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and buffalo, Africa shimmers with a wild beauty.

Ancient archeological sites, beautiful people, open spaces filled with unique vegetation and vast deserts, captivate all who visit.

Africa is a land like no other.

Through my handmade jewelry, which incorporates ethically sourced semi precious stones, metals, bones, fossils and other artifacts, I hope to share a little piece of my wild, beautiful and brave world.

My creations come to life when I allow the materials to share the design process, in a spontaneous and organic way.  My background in Engineering sometimes lends an industrial feel to the pieces which largely tell my African story. While I create all my art in a small studio in California, my annual pilgrimage back to Africa allows me to collect treasures, renew my spirit and reflect on the blessing of a creative life.

Thank you for taking this journey or Safari, as we say in Swahili, with me.
